A deposit of £100 is applicable at time of booking (fully refundable up to 6 weeks prior to arrival) in order to confirm with full balance being made 6 weeks prior to arrival. If booking made within 6 weeks of arrival, full payment shall be taken at time of making reservation. In the unfortunate event we require to cancel your booking due to events outwith our control, we will notify you as soon as possible and a full refund will be given.
We highly recommend that travel insurance is taken as refunds can only be given if property is re-sold by us. In the event that you require to cancel your booking after full payment has been taken, we will endeavour to re-sell property in which case a refund can be issued but this may be less than what has been paid due to the lateness of having to re-advertise.
Until a deposit has been received by us and confirmed by us to you, we cannot be held to any dates or amounts and are provisional until then.
Charges include all running costs, with linen and towels for indoor use provided.
Use of the hot tub (if being taken) and sauna form part of these terms and conditions (see below) and is inclusive of your booking acceptance.
The maximum number of persons able to stay in the cottage is 4, not including any infants (12 months or under) – please advise if you require a travel cot or highchair).
We regret that we cannot accept pets at the property. Children over the age of 7 are welcome.
Smoking or vaping is STRICTLY NOT allowed within the property or outwith the designated smoking areas.
Please be respectful in regards to playing of loud music, neighbouring wildlife etc as property is located in rural crofting township.
Please take care if using BBQs. Heath fires can start rapidly due to the heather and peat in the vicinity and can quickly get out of hand. A fire extinguisher is available at the property.
Accidents happen but please advise as soon as possible of any breakages or damage in order that we can rectify the cottage for the next occupants. We reserve the right to charge for damage/repairs which we deem to be deliberate or excessive.
Waffle dressing gowns are provided for your comfort but please do not take them home with you!
Please depart cottage by 10.00am to allow us to clean before the next holiday makers arrive and replenish the hot tub etc. We would be very much obliged if you leave the property in a tidy state and double check you have remembered all your personal items. We would also be obliged if you could log out of any accounts you may have used, ie Netflix, Spotify etc.

If you made your booking with a third party website you will have to contact that company directly, as we are not permitted to cancel, amend or change third party Website Bookings. Always check your cancellation policy as non refundable, non transferable bookings cannot be changed, amended or cancelled by the team here at Captain’s Rest.
